Despite the rain drizzling through the entire morning, the Fuji GT 300 km Race Round 6 was won by the No. 38 Zent Cerumo Lexus SC 430 of Yuji Tachikawa and Koheyi Hirate.
The rain stopped by noon and the track got almost dried up before the start of the race at 14:00, facilitating No. 38 SC 430’s start from pole position.
The SC 430 lost its advantage on lap 21 after a crash put the yellow flag out and most of the drivers, including No. 38, stopped for routine tire change and refueling.
Starting again from the fifth position, Tachiwaka gave its best and regained first position by the 43rd lap of the race, keeping it that way until the checkered flag and bringing home the first win of the season. Its sister cars #37 KeePer Tom’s SC 430 came third and the #6 Eneos Sustina SC 430 placed fourth.
