Lexus Unveils LS 460 Touring Edition

Some might say that Toyota just launched the new Lexus LS 460 Touring Edition to cater to the younger crowd, seeing as they have fitted it with a sporty body kit and sports seats, but we don’t really know anybody who just escaped the grip of acne that would be interested in having wood trim on the dash and gear leaver.

Whatever the target audience may be, Lexus will make the LS 460 Touring edition available for purchase later this month in the US, at a Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $73,000, not including the $875 surcharge for delivery, processing and handling.

To try and keep everything looking fresh and modern for what will probably be the young-at-heart mid-executive, Lexus has added a special Smoky Granite Mica paint job to the limited-production sedan. 19-inch, 5-spoke wheels come as standard, and the grille has been given a sporty touch as well.

Inside, Touring Edition standard features include matte brown wood trim, black and saddle leather-trimmed seats and premium floor mats.

"The Touring Edition adds excitement to our flagship sedan,"
said Mark Templin, Lexus Division group vice president and general manager. "The package on this car enhances styling and comfort, allowing us to attract younger buyers to the LS line-up."

"The LS 460 Touring Edition is a unique package of sporty exterior styling and comfort. With limited units available nationwide they'll sell out fast to customers who want an all-inclusive luxury package,"
said Templin.

So, Lexus says the LS 460 Touring Edition will be built as a limited addition model, though the luxury brand doesn’t say exactly how many will be made.
