The upcoming Guangzhou Auto Show that will be open to the public between December 21 and 27 will be used by Lexus to showcase the company's new IS F model that's already available in numerous multiple other markets across the globe. The interesting bit is that Toyota's luxury division intends to make the most out of the Chinese car venue, so the brand will bring 13 other production models at the show, all of which are expected to be offered to local buyers as soon as early next year.
As mentioned, the IS F is already available in on a few other markets, including in the United States where it is being offered with a bunch of enhancements for the model year 2010.
In the United States, the car is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine mated to an eight-speed Sport Direct Shift Transmission that unleashes 416 horsepower and 371 lb-ft of torque at 5,200 rpm. The 2010 enhancements include a Torsen Limited Slip differential, iPod and USB connectivity plus a new 19-inch wheel design.
Of course, just like you'd expect from a Lexus, the IS F excels in comfort features, such as 10-way power front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a pollen filter and smog detector, power moonroof with one-touch open/close and seven open-position settings, power tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, three-position memory function for front seats, steering wheel and mirrors, all power windows with automatic up/down operation and jam protection.
The exact specifications for the Chinese market will be released during the upcoming show, so we'll keep you posted.
