We showed you a teaser video from Lexus, called ‘Unleash the LFA’. When we first saw it, we must admit, we thought it was going to be some track-focused ultra-light version of the already fast LFA. Sadly, however, it is not the case.
However, it’s not all bad news, as in fact, ‘Unleash the LFA’ is a Facebook-based contest which runs from August 1st - 21st, in which ‘fans’ can sign up for a chance to win a day with the V10-powered LFA. The day will be filled with high-speed driver training, at the Skip Barber Racing school, located at Laguna Seca.
Also, as a bonus, Lexus is throwing in an extra $300 for the winner to spend as he pleases. Honestly, for a manufacturer like Lexus, offering such a small money prize is quite embarrassing - if they did want to offer a cash prize, it should have been something worthy of their name.
Another negative aspect is that while they may be paying for everything, including transportation to and from the location, the competition is only open for US citizens.
