If there’s a segment that Lexus has not covered at the moment is the one for a luxury estate car, but with the ES and RX models being the customers’ favorites, it appears that shooting brake will be a waste of money for the company.
But this didn’t stop photo manipulator Theophilus Chin to render such a vehicle. Using the US bestselling Lexus model ES as a base, he combined it with the most elegant estate shape at the moment - the Mercedes Benz CLA shooting brake.

The end result, called Lexus ES SportCross, looks both muscular and refined as you can see in the picture above. But despite that, this will remain just a dream for most. At leas for now, with the luxury automaker being very concentrated on releasing other spectacular models - such as the LF-NX and the RC coupe with its F version.

However, if we opened the Lexus ES subject, we'll go on and give you a few insights about the sedan. First of all, the model is bound to receive a facelift that will debut at the Shanghai Motor Show 2015. Among the highlights of this visual makeover there will be a new spindle grille.

Moreover, the Kentucky-made 2016 Lexus ES is offered in ES 350 - powered by a 3.5-liter V6 mill good for 268 horsepower - and ES 300h guises. Clients will be able to get the first one for a price tag of $37,700, while for the second one they will have to empty their pockets or bank accounts and come up with a starting sticker of $40,580.

The vehicle will also receive Lexus's Safety System+ which now offers a suite made of the Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Pre-Collision System and High-Speed Dynamic Cruise Control. But we don't want you to become bored with technicalities when there's a Lexus shooting brake to admire in the photo gallery.
