Lexus will attend the 2010 Geneva Motor Show next week to display the company's new CT 200h, a model that will go on sale in early 2011. However, Toyota's luxury brand today presented the car before the public unveiling at the show, along with the full list of specifications.
The first premium compact model to be sold under the Lexus brand will be powered by the Lexus Hybrid Drive system, a combination of a 1.8-liter VVT-i petrol engine and an electric unit. There are four driving modes available: Eco, Normal, Sport and EV, with the last one to provide a maximum range of up to 1.2 miles (1.9 km) at speeds of up to 28 mph (45 km/h).
Feature highlights include LED daytime running lights and a dashboard split into an upper Display Zone, with an eight-inch LCD multi-display screen, plus a lower Operation Zone, with the shift lever and other controls such as Lexus’s Remote Touch multi-function controller.
Lexus says production of the CT 200h will begin in late 2010, while the first deliveries will be honored in the first months of the next year.
