Lexus CT 200h Details and Pictures

The Lexus LF-Ch concept displayed at the Frankfurt Auto Show last September will attend the 2010 Geneva Motor Show as well, but this time in production form and using a new name: CT 200h. Lexus struggled to keep things secret until the Geneva event opens its doors to visitors but the editors over at worldcarfans.com got their hands on what seems to be a full brochure prepared for next week's venue. Obviously, details and photos are included.

The car will employ a 1.8-liter four-cylinder VVT-i petrol engine plus a magnet synchronous electric unit connected to a nickel-metal hydride battery. An E-CVT transmission is offered as standard.

There are no technical details included in the leaked papers but Lexus claims the engine is "powerful", with earlier rumors indicating that the overall power could go around 134 hp.

As for dimensions, the car is 4,320 mm long, 1,765 mm wide and 1,430 high.

“Created for motorists who want to lower their emissions, but not their standards, the CT 200h will be the first full hybrid vehicle in the premium compact segment. It will offer new levels of refinement, sophistication and attention to detail, without compromising style or driving pleasure,” Lexus said in a statement earlier this month when teasing the car.

autoevolution will be attending the 2010 Geneva Auto Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
