LCI BMW 5 Series Starts at $50,425 in the US

The US market will soon be seeing the first 2014 BMW 5 Series models on its streets and the prices are almost the same, compared to the pre-facelift model.
The entry-level BMW 528i, fitted with a 2-liter turbocharged petrol engine that develops 245 HP will become the entry-level model and will be priced at $50,425, just $1,700 more than the previous model.

The bigger, 3-liter 6-cylinder powered 535i will start at $56,025, registering for the same $1,700 price increase, whilst offering you 306 HP and 450 Nm (300 lb-ft) of torque.

The V8 N63 engine under the bonnet of the 550i, that produces 450 HP, will be available starting at $64,825, being just $1,200 more expensive. For the all-wheel-drive transmission, xDrive, you'll have to cough up $2,300 extra.

The most notable model for the US market at the moment, is the 535d one, fitted with a 3-liter diesel engine that produces 258 HP and a mouth-watering 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque. This one starts at $57,525 and it's available only with the 8-speed automatic transmission.
