No more PIT maneuvers, no more crazy taxi rides through the city... nothing. This is what will happen for the Ford Crown Victoria from now on, as the vehicle's heart stopped beating yesterday - production is now over.
The last unit of the Crown Victoria rolled of the line at the St. Thomas plant in Ontario, Canda, yesterday at 12:30 pm. This is dressed in white, comes with special interior goodies, such as air-conditioning for the rear passengers and is destined for a Saudi Arabian customer.

The Crown Victoria has been produced for 19 years in a row, just like the Model T. Actually, this designation was originally introduced for a 1950s coupe, and was then used for a sedan between 1979 - 1980 and 1983 - 1991.

The Cown Vic was killed due to the fact that Ford considered that bringing its Panther platform, which used a body on frame layout, to contemporary standards wasn’t feasible. The aforementioned factory will also be shut down after 44 years of activity.
