Land Rover January Sales Grow in the UK

This year is off to a good start on most auto markets, as some car dealers have seriously improved their sales figures compared to the same period last year. Going in the same direction, Land Rover’s sales in the UK were also boosted by the hard winter and difficult road conditions experienced over the last month.

Compared with last January, in 2010 Land Rover experienced a sales increase of 58 percent, nearly twice as much as the industry's average figures. The British car manufacturer enjoyed sales increase for all its models, as followed: Discovery was up 92 percent, Range Rover Sport was up 66 percent, Freelander was up 57 percent and Range Rover was up 24 percent.

John Edwards, managing director, Land Rover said: "Heavy snow and icy conditions last month meant car buyers were looking for a vehicle that provides them with the all-terrain capability to keep them on the roads. In fact, we had double the hits on the landrover.co.uk website in January than we had last year.

"Land Rover has over 60 years of experience developing supremely capable vehicles that boast four-wheel drive and pioneering technology such as Terrain Response. These all help ensure that Land Rover owners have total peace of mind when traveling in wet and icy conditions."

Another important reason for the Land Rover sales increase is the introduction of the new 2010 model range. The British car manufacturer introduced a more efficient and technologically advanced line-up, which helped a lot in these ecological times we live in. The Discovery 4 review was one of the most popular on the majority of UK's websites.
