After being quite successful with their previous autumn “Barbour for Land Rover” collection the two British brands have recently announced they are once again partnering up for the future Spring/Summer 2015 line. Precision detailing taken from the iconic Land Rover grille and chamfer lines are used as inspiration for the new collection, which will be available starting next month.
Let us pretend the car nicely parked on our driveway is in fact the 2015 Discovery Sport, Land Rover’s new family-oriented beauty that still comes with the proper off-road capability, while keeping things lavish and technologized. Then, let us just act like you’re not constantly looking under the bonnet to find that beautiful 2-liter four-cylinder turbocharged mill, which is coupled to a ZF nine-speed transmission.

Since we’re here pretending, let us take yet another step further in this little game to become complete Land Rover customers. And what makes you be like that if not the clothes you wear while driving the car. That’s why you want to know all about the new clothing line.

The collection draws on the key strengths of both brands to deliver clothing built on the shared foundations of capability, design, reliability and style. Inspired by Land Rover’s contemporary design and refined luxury, the range is a modern interpretation of the two brands’ traditions.” That is how the British auto maker is describing their collaboration.

Premium products

The premium lifestyle collection is made of lightweight jackets completed with gilets and a range of knits, shirts, jerseys and graphic tees. Made of was, leather and quilt, the jackets are cut with smart leather trims and the grill pattern is used in summer knitwear and tees in soft, elegant styles.

The two companies claim the clothing details have been inspired by the precision detailing from Land Rover vehicles such as the grille and chamfer lines, which allegedly offers distinctive quality to the garments.

“With a penchant for style and comfort, both Barbour and Land Rover are revered for their all-terrain and all-weather resilience allowing customers to go about their business whatever the weather,” Lindsey Weaver, Global Licensing & Branded Goods Director for Land Rover said.
