Three-time MTV Music Awards winner Lana Del Rey made her Coachella Grand Entrance on a motorcycle, and people went online to check out the make and model. It turns out that it is a Ryvid Anthem electric motorcycle.
Lana Del Rey and her dancers stunned everyone at Coachella when they went through the lane that ran through the crowd to the stage, riding on Ryvid Anthem motorcycles. The video of her arrival went viral, but there is a whole story behind the show.

The artist's team was planning to build up drama before her show. They wanted a spectacular entrance and knew that putting the singer on the back of a motorcycle would do the trick. However, it was easier said than done.

The first obstacle they had to overcome was one of the regulations imposed on the show. The Fire Marshal would not allow any vehicle with an internal combustion engine anywhere near the show. So, conventional combustion motorcycles were out of the question right from the start.

Furthermore, the regulations of the event stipulate that bikes can only be ridden at speeds below 5 mph (8 kph). And it wasn't just a promise from the team that the organizers would take for granted. They actually had to receive assurances that the motorcycles could not exceed the speed limit.

With all these regulations imposed, Lana Del Rey's team turned to California-based Ryvid, the company that builds the Anthem electric motorcycle.

The Anthem is equipped with a battery pack that features a capacity of 4.3 kWh. That would be more than enough for what they needed for the show without wrapping the crowd in exhaust fumes.

The Ryvid engineers could also set the 5 mph limit on every single motorcycle that would be part of the show with the help of the electronic controller. For unrestricted use, the top speed of the two-wheeler is 75 mph (121 kph).

The lightweight structure of the Anthem, which tips the scales at only 313 pounds (142 kilograms), as well as the high-performance brakes, suspension, tires, and low center of gravity, allow the riders to easily control the bike even with a passenger standing behind them. Because that was part of the show, Lana Del Rey had to stand and wave at the crowd as she rode to the Coachella stage.

Ryvid took to social media to show photos from the event. "When Lana Del Rey asks us for a ride, we can't say no," they wrote on Facebook.

The Anthem starts at $8,995 and is available for delivery right away. Customers can choose one of the six colors in the lineup. It sports an integrated charger and a range of 75 miles (121 kilometers). Riders can select one of the two driving modes. It is required to have a motorcycle license to ride the electric Anthem.
