Lamborghini Veneno and Huracan Race on Italy's Streets at Night

The Carabinieri, which are the Italian equivalent of the police and tax collectors, have been hunting down on any and all supercar owners in the country for the past couple of years. Random inspections take place and owners are asked to come up with documentation to prove the money to buy their Ferraris and Lamborghinis comes from legal, taxed sources of income.
Perhaps that's the reason why these two beauties chose the cover of night to race down the narrow streets of Sant'Agata Bolognese, the home of Lamborghini. This video was taken only two weeks ago and allegedly shows two cars belonging to the automaker, who simply wanted to show them off to the locals. If that's not a reason to move to Italy, nothing is.

Between the Veneno and the Huracan, it's pretty obvious which is the rarest and most interesting, so we'll start our story with that. 4 of these are supposed to be made, 3 for customers and 1 to keep in the museum… the one in the video. It's easily recognized from the red accents , which the other 3 don't have.

Costing €3 million ($4.1 million), the Veneno is about 10 times more expensive than the Huracan. But that doesn't mean it's not impressive, far from it, in fact. This V10 supercar makes 610 hp and replaces the Gallardo. Power for the Veneno is provided by the 6.5-liter V12 used by the Aventador. However, the engine has been tuned to produce more power: 750 PS (552 kW), pushing along a carbon fiber car weighing only 1,450 kilograms.

You might think that replacing the most popular Lamborghini of all time will be hard, but with other 1,500 orders registered in a few months, the Huracan is already a success story. The only thing it's lacking is the exclusivity.
