The Internet is buzzing with talk of the Lamborghini SUV we brought to your attention yesterday, and some are arguing that it’s still early to call it real. Now, AutoCar comes with a report saying that a company spokesperson has called the Lambo-SUV “speculation”.
"There is a lot of speculation about what it will be. As there are no plans to build the Estoque saloon, people are speculating that there will be an SUV - but nothing is confirmed,” the spokesman reportedly said.
However, a decision whether to build the Estoque four-door or this has to be reached by the end of the year. And the concept might simply be revealed as a way to gouge response from customers. Calling that “speculation” is like saying the Estoque four-door was not real if it was leaked before the official reveal. We simply can’t know right now!
Current reports say the Lambo SUV will be based on the platform of the next Cayenne and will arrive in 2015. The concept that will show up in China in a couple of months is supposed to be powered by a V10 from the Gallardo, but the production vehicle will be a hybrid with about 700 hp.
