Lamborghini Reventon Roadster, Debut at Frankfurt?

With the biggest auto event of the fall fast approaching, rumors surrounding the official debut of the Lamborghini's Reventon Roadster at the Frankfurt Auto Show intensify. Even if the car was also rumored to have been presented to a group of customers at the end of July, interest around the open-top version of the Reventon has not diminished.

There is one thing to keep in mind though when considering the Roadster as a possible presence for the Frankfurt show. As Lamborghini stated, they plan to unveil a new model at every major auto show and, if you have been watching, you know by now the manufacturer has already detailed the Gallardo LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni. Having done this, it is reasonable to assume this will be the car to be presented in Frankfurt, while the Roadster may be pushed towards another event.

According to a report by lambocars.com, quoted by autoblog, the Reventon Roadster will attend the aforementioned event. Yet, despite all the rumors surrounding it, little is yet known about the Roadster and what will power it.

Initial reports said Lamborghini intends to fit the Roadster with the same 670 hp engine as on the LP670-4SV. Nothing is clear about the number of Reventon Roadsters to be built, with some pointing to only ten units and others saying the Roadster will be built in as many numbers as needed and demanded by customers.

What is know about it is that it won't come cheap. The price tag on one of these is said to stand at 1.2 million euros...
