Kylie Minogue Drives a Black Maserati

Considered the most fashionable car on the road, the Maserati Gran Turismo S is a two door coupe designed by the Italian manufacturer for the noble and extravagant. Countless celebrities have been stung by the trident since this car was unveiled at the 2008 Geneva Car Show being drawn by its smooth surfaces and aggressive styling, as well as its unbridled performance.

Renowned for her exquisite taste in cars, beauty queen and actress Vanessa Williams owns one, among other super-cars such as a Lamborghini, a Ferrari and a Benz convertible. Other celebrities that drive around in a Gran Turismo include popular TV chef James Martin and fashion designer Marc Jacobs, emphasizing the celebrity car side of the Maserati.

Joining the group of Maserati aficionados is Australian award-winning pop singer Kylie Minogue, who was seen arriving at rehearsals at a London dance studio in an uber plush black Maserati Gran Turismo S. Although no one would have suspected she was a petrol head, she showed up dressed appropriately in a leather jacket and tough biker boots.

This isn't the first time Kylie makes automotive headlines. Earlier this year, she reportedly spent GBP 20,000 (US $32,000) on luxury extras for her Audi A8 W12. The super-rich pop-star had special mirrors fitted to the car along with a top-end sound system with TV screens in the front seat headrests.

Other features Kylie may have opted for on the GBP 100,000 (about US $160,000) saloon include 20-inch alloys which cost GBP 1,500 (US $2,400) while massaging and ventilating front and rear seats would set the Australian super-star back GBP 3,700 (US $6,000).

But 20,000 pounds sterling isn’t much for the pint-sized pop sensation.
