Good new for the adventure-tourers all over the world: Mattighofen's new 1190 Adventure machine gets a full range of accessories for the season. However, such news will most likely make US riders feel frustrated, as KTM doesn't seem too interested to have the 1190 Adventure shipped across the pond for now.

If you ever looked inside a Touratech catalog then you probably know hat the range of optional add-ons for popular motorcycles is sometimes insanely extensive. Touratech has prepared a nifty range for this KTM, too, even though it is not as overly saturated like the ones addressing the Beemers.

You get everything from a rear brake reservoir cover to pannier racks, crash bars, headlight steel protective grilles, and almost everything in between, with the budget and weight limit being only ones. Check out the digital Touratech catalog, with KTM parts staring at page 767, or jump directly to the webshop.

As mentioned, the 1190 Adventure remains so far a treat for European motorcyclists. It is yet uncertain why KTM isn't at all eager to bring the new 1190 to the North American market, and do battle with the BMW R1200GS, a bike that seems to be THE choice for adventure riders.

KTM says that the 1190 Adventure will make it into the US markets sometime in 2014, with no firm dates being offered at the time of writing. House Mattighofen will, however, send the KTM 990 Baja across the pond as a special offer dedicated to this market, with the 690 Duke alongside, even though this is most likely a small compensation for those waiting for the 1190 machines.
