South Korean automaker Kia has unveiled the five custom, music-themed Soul crossovers that are currently being showcased at the 2013 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
The first concept, which is described as a “full size boom box on wheels”, is dubbed Amped Soul and features JBL speakers, four Infinity subwoofers, LED ambient lighting, 22-inch Forgiato wheels wrapped in Hankook tires and blacked out windows.
Next up is the Vans Warped Tour Soul that has custom fiberglass body panels painted in a hippie air-brushed artwork, 8-inch Infinity speakers, a 50-inch flat-panel monitor and a slide-out rear barbeque “for the full music-inspired tailgating experience”. The third bespoke Kia is the DJ Booth Soul, or “the ultimate DJ booth on wheels”. It has a custom diamond-plated stage that goes up through the roof, pro-grade Pioneer CDJs and mixer and is painted in an eye-catching purple with turquoise accents.
The Music Memorabilia Soul, the fourth concept from Kia’s list, “encompasses the passion, raw talent and diversity of music as an industry and an art form”. The vehicles houses a guitar signed by Guns’n Roses’ Slash, a G-Unit sneaker autographed by 50 Cent, a Jimi Hendrix gold album and a signed John Legend microphone. Other updates include gold exhaust tips, 20-inch gold HRE wheels, and black suede and leather interior with gold diamond stitching.
Lastly, there’s the Voice Soul, which was named after NBC’s “The Voice” show, comes with 20-inch Niche Scope wheels, leather and suede seats, a 40-inch LED TV, an iPad mini, Rockford Fosgate speakers, and a wireless microphone.
