Kia Soul Tempest Launched in the UK

Since it rolled out the Soul model, Kia has introduced several limited edition models that allow customers to further equip their cars with all kinds of accessories depending on their preferences. A new version has just been introduced in the UK, the so-called Tempest, that comes with several enhancements at both the exterior and the interior.

First of all, the car is painted in metallic Titanium Silver with black high-gloss bumper inserts and door mirrors, kia-world.net wrote today. It is equipped with black 18-inch alloy wheels as standard as well as with restyled metallic center fascia and chrome accents.

Inside, Kia introduced Soul-Shine black seat trim with metallic center fascia and chrome detailing on the dashboard and instrument dials. Kia’s Advanced Reversing Camera system with Electrochromic Rearview Mirror and a new audio system comprising a new center speaker, rear subwoofer and external amplifier are also available.

The new special edition is offered with a 1.6-liter gasoline and diesel engines mated to four-speed automatic transmission. Pricing starts at 12,845 British pounds.

The base version of the Soul provides a wide array of standard safety features, including front seat active headrests, dual front advanced airbags, front seat-mounted and full-length side curtain airbags, Antilock Brake System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist System (BAS) and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

Kia Soul is a pretty successful model in the UK, with 1,000 units sold to local consumers in around 100 days of availability since its official launch in the country.
