Rumors that Kawasaki was going to increase the capacity of the Z750, in order to create the Z800 had been circulating around for a while, but now we have solid proof that the Z800 is a real project, courtesy of leaked photos.
The bike is based on the current Z750, but its engine has been bored out to 800cc, to keep the trend of increasing engine capacities all throughout Kawasaki’s range - the ZX-6R now has a 636cc egnine, while the Ninka 250 has become the Ninja 300.
Aside from the larger engine, it also gets a slightly modified frame and a completely restyled body. We have no data regarding its official debut, but since it’s already done, we say it could take place by the end of the year.
We must also say that this is one handsome-looking machine and we are sure that some will buy it based on style alone, and while we do not belong to that category, we would definitely understand the reasons behind such a decision.
