Jeremy Clarkson Proves a Stick Is What Made His BBC Firing OK in New Ad

Jezza is back, and he proves he truly was born to be wild. It’s not because the former Top Gear leader needs to lead the herd; we’re just hinting at the song playing in the background of this 30-second Amazon Prime advertorial. Clarkson is here to announce the ups of his new job - a Segway - and the downs of his former.
Segway is not even an American company anymore nowadays, but it used to be one back in the day when Jezza would say these self-balancing contraptions were made so “fat Yanks can go to the fridge without expending any energy.” Well, now it’s him who is using one. But instead of the refrigerator, Clarkson is using the thing to swing through his home and activate the Amazon stick.

“Back in the spring as you probably remember I became suddenly un-busy, and that was okay because I had one of these - an Amazon Fire TV stick.” He says that in the video below and then zaps through the programs, eventually getting to the new motoring show. He does it after shortly passing over the BBC, which he calls just “that.”

Even though Clarkson declined early rumors that the new show would be called Gear Knobs on Twitter, we do know that the first episode sees Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May driving the hybrid trio on track. Which of the three - Ferrari LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder - will win, we don’t know, but it will sure be worth watching.

Other than that, you probably heard by now that the magic trio are reuniting to create an all-new car show, exclusively for Amazon Prime. The show will be produced by the trio’s longtime executive producer Andy Wilman. The first episode should air sometime next year, so you’d better stay close.
