Now that he’s no longer the host of the Tonight Show, after 22 years, Jay Leno has time to go out of his way and travel to various parts of the world to do videos for his Youtube channel, Jay Leno’s Garage.
In his latest adventure, he met up with the 2014 Dakar winner, Nani Roma and his MINI ALL4 Racing car, to learn a bit more about what it’s like to drive in the desert and across huge sand dunes.
First, the duo took a regular MINI Countryman All4 across a less challenging course, to show Jay how a ‘normal’ car deals with unusual terrain. After that, it was time for the real thing, the car that won the hardest rally in the world, the ALL4 Racing model.
After Nani took the wheel and showed Jay what his MINI is capable of, the famous presenter stepped up and got behind the wheel to have some fun.
Since the Rally-prepped car is almost indestructible it’s rather pointless to say that Leno had the blast of his life inside the near 2 tons trailblazer. Being such an experienced driver and with Nani by his side, he also didn’t have too much trouble handling it. Check out how he did in the video below.
