Want to guess what Jay Leno brought this weekend to Supercar Sunday? That's right, it's the very first P1 delivered in the US, him being McLaren's most loyal customer and all. We've seen pictures of this particular car Yesterday, but couldn't confirm it belongs to Jay because when he got it there weren't any license plates on.
Leno's yellow P1 is a real head turner. He's only had it for a couple of weeks and it's nice to see that he's putting some miles on it.Wearing his famous double denim attire, the comedian talks to the crowd about his awesome supercar just as your average Subaru guy would. How very cool of him!
Back in 2013, he was the first man outside of McLaren to test drive the P1 on their track. An order was subsequently placed and McLaren delivered this beauty in late March. His Volcano Yellow example has the chassis number 64, which is going to be the lowers one for any privately owned P1 in America.
The comedian is not shy about professing his love for the P1. He says its the greatest car he's ever driven – light, fast, fun and quite efficient.
McLaren's hypercar has been a resounding success, as each and every one has been sold already. The only examples they were able to hold on to were the development prototypes which were brought to production spec.
Update: One of our readers has pointed out that while Leno's car is the first to arrive, chassis number 64 will not be the lowest in America.
