Reaction videos – we all know them, we all love them. They are all about taking a ludicrously powerful car, preferably with no soundproofing and a big turbo, strapping some kind of beautiful girl in the passenger seat and filming what happens.
Some of the more famous clips on the web have reached as many Youtube views as a Britney Spears music video, but for some reason, the people who invented the segment (like High Tech Corvette) stopped making them.
That has left the window wide open for car manufacturers to film their own car+girl videos. We've just discovered that Jaguar Middle East has done this with the brand new F-Type R Coupe that was presented last year. It's no about how much money you make, it's about being able to enjoy 550 horsepower from a supercharged V8 engine in semi-safe conditions.
To add extra marketing kick to the formula, the company seems to have place local celebrities in the passenger seat. We don't actually know who any of them are, as for example Oksana Rasulova is an Azerbaijani dance and choreographer who stared in Bollywood movies.
Don't you just love it when the driver wears a full-face helmet and a racing suit, but the people in the passenger seat just have a highly flammable shirt? Lovely… safety first! But at least they didn't ask the girl to strap the seatbelt the wrong way, under their armpit.
Apparently, it's very good to be bad in Azerbaijan, so kick back and enjoy the videos...
