As numerous automakers, Jaguar decided to bring something new to the table and announced its brand new compact premium sports sedan called the Jaguar XE.
It seems the famous brand thought that it was time for a change and decided to bring Jaguar fans something a bit more mainstream but with the same Jag touch. Thus, we’re talking about an all-new vehicle that has been designed on the new advanced aluminum architecture the company unveiled back in 2013 with the C-X17 concept car. Apparently, this particular vehicle will be the company’s first car built with the above mentioned architecture.

Thus, their plan is to bring a sedan that will be lighter, more powerful and at the same time fuel-efficient. Ian Callum, Director of Design said that the “new Jaguar XE is every bit a modern Jaguar car; more compact in size but visually striking. Customers will expect a great deal from a compact Jaguar car - it must be practical but premium.”

So, one can see that the company is thinking about a more mainstream market, but at the same time know that it’s a Jaguar car, meaning it has to be exciting to look at, to drive and at the same time brilliant to run and practical to won. Quite the recipe of success if you ask us, if they really do manage to deliver all of that with the XE model.

Concerning the engine, the power will be provided by a variety of engines with a wide range of capacities and output. We’re talking about the new Ingenium engine line that promises a flexible engine architecture that can be configured to suit in-line and transverse installations and can be used in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. It appears that the company is all about exceptional performance and low emissions.

Jaguar has a lot of faith in this XE model, Jeff Curry, Brand Vice President of Jaguar North America saying that with this car they offer a more “exclusive, distinct choice in the luxury car marketplace combining progressive British design, a high performance character and advanced aluminum technology."

We’re can’t help but admit the fact that we’re pretty excited to see if Jaguar will be able to deliver all that the company has promised with this XE model. Thus, we’ll just have to wait until 2015 to hit overseas market and until 2016 until it will finally arrive in the United States.
