Sometimes, from the vastness of the Internet come videos such as the one after the jump, and which make me wonder what’s wrong with some people. Seriously, if this was a suicide ride the poor motorcyclist decided to record and have it uploaded on Youtube after his expected demise, all would be clear. “That was it,” most people would say and turn the page.
But what really scares me is the thought that this fellow simply believed he could really pull this one off without a long pause in the hospital. It kind of reminds me of the idiot who tried to replicate Trinity’s highway ride from Matrix… and who met a gruesome face some 10 or 15 years ago.
Even more, I try to think about the impact such actions have on the riding community, given how easily drivers and the rest of the non-riding people tend to generalize and infer that “all motorcyclists” are as mindless as this fellow.
Truth be told, this crash makes me wonder if this guy even has a motorcycle license… Any licensed and slightly experienced rider would most likely have had more self-preservation instincts than this fellow. Do share your thoughts, please!
