Infiniti FX35 AWD Limited Edition Priced at $51,550, 550 to Be Made

Infiniti has started rolling out information regarding the facelift version 2012 FX crossover. The changes cover a revised front grille, slightly restyled foglamps, dark tint around the headlights and some trim changes.

Nissan’s luxury division has today revealed US pricing for the model. The 2012 FX range will start from $43,450 for the FX35 in its rear-wheel drive configuration. Meanwhile, the FX35 AWD Limited Edition that sports that cool blue paintjob and those SLR-lite turbine wheels gets a $51,550 sticker, meaning its $6,650 more expensive than the regular AWD version that costs just $44,900.

Infiniti has announced they will only make 550 examples of the Limited Edition models will be built, so you’d better hurry and grab your fast before they run out. The limited edition model gets a number of special features, including an Iridium Blue exterior color, 21-inch alloys with a dark satin finish, tinted headlights and chromed roof rail crossbars. Inside there’s aluminum pedal accents, a hard-drive based navigation system, blue piping on the floor mats, and Nissan’s Around View camera monitoring system.

As is the case with the rest of the base engine range, the FX35 AWD Limited Edition is powered by Nissan’s now venerable 3.5-liter V6 that pumps 303 horsepower. The more powerful 5.0-liter 390 horsepower version of the FX gets a $100 price bump for the 2012MY, now costing from $59,350.

Both engines options come paired with a standard seven-speed automatic transmission featuring a manual mode, while solid magnesium paddle shifters are an optional extra. First sales are scheduled to begin this October.
