Infiniti Confirms 2012 Australian Market Entry

Infiniti today announced that it will enter the Australian market starting from the the third quarter of next year. The company will make its Down Under debut with a retail and service network comprising of three centers, located in the major east coast cities: Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

The initial Infiniti model range will include the FX crossover, G37 convertible, G37 coupe, as well as the M saloon.

"As part of Infiniti's worldwide expansion, Australia is a mandatory next step for the luxury brand," said Dan Thompson CEO, Infiniti Cars Australia. "In a little more than a year, the promise of luxury vehicles with a unique combination of inspired performance, attentive hospitality and unparalleled quality will become a reality for the Australian market.

Infiniti’s Australian operations will be managed by Kevin Snell, who is currently creating a team for the upcoming development.

Infiniti is a passionate brand with inspiring cars which will provide Australian consumers a clear alternative to the traditional premium makes. An alternative which will be underpinned by our brand promise of "Inspired Performance" and reflected not only by our cars emotive designs, exhilarating performance and advanced technology but also by the exceptional service and attention delivered at our exclusive Infiniti Centres," said Snell.

The penetration of the Australian market comes after Infiniti expanded its business in the UK, Western Europe and select Asia Pacific markets. The company will also introduce its financial division, Infiniti Financial Services, to Australia.
