Local Natives are the most recent band to join Nissan’s Off The Stage concert series, through witch the Japanese auto maker is promoting their latest models. In the new promotion, the Silver Lake-based band take two Nissan Rogues into the dessert and play their Brakers song, turning the two compact SUVs into a stage.
Nissan’s latest ad series called Off The Stage finds different bands playing in one of their models and the latest video that just hit the market has Local Natives performing Brakers song in the dessert after they set up the vehicles to be the group’s sound system and its stage. Well, besides the incredible scenery in the background, Nissan Rogue is actually quite the SUV.

As the North American version of the European-designed X-Trail, this compact crossover SUV has safety written all over it. Its features include front airbags, side-impact airbags, side-curtain airbags with rollover sensors, tire-pressure monitor, ABS with brake-assist and electronic brake-force distribution, traction control, and anti-skid control.

And it’s all five stars (not literaly) when it comes to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Crash Test Ratings: 5 for Frontal Driver, 5 for Side Impact, 4 for Frontal Passenger and 4 for Rollover. In 2010 the model became Consumers Digest’s Automative Best Buy Award and received National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)’s Highest Side-Impact Safety Rating (five stars).

The second generation Rogue, which the band uses in their new clip, is a version of Nissan X-Trail adapted to North American market and early models include 2.5-litter 4-cylinder QR25DE engine rated 170 horsepower and 175 lb-ft (237 Nm), Xtronic CVT (Continously Variable Transmission) with standard Sport Mode switch. It comes with three submodels, S, SV and SL, each in a choice of front-wheel or all-wheel drive).

Well, we’re not sure about the band, but we definitely like the car, and like the song says, Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh...
