Choosing the right Android Auto cable has long been a significant challenge, and CarPlay users have recently received a chance to explore the struggle following the release of the iPhone 15.
Apple's latest-generation iPhone launched with a USB-C port instead of the Lightning connector, so users found themselves forced to find new cords to connect the smartphone to a PC and to the car to run CarPlay.

The migration from Lightning to USB-C turned CarPlay into a confusing mess, with many people believing that all USB-C cables are the same and the cord they use for charging a smartphone would also support CarPlay.

It wasn't the case, as some USB-C cables are charging-only, so finding the right cord to run CarPlay became as hard as finding the right cord to run Android Auto.

Someone on Indiegogo has recently invented a cable with multiple connection options, essentially putting an end to all these problems. It's super-tough, super-fast, and supports USB-A and USB-C, so it can be used in any car, regardless of the connectivity options.

Called Super Cable and created by the Haloband team, the cord sports USB-C on one end and USB-A and USB-C on the other. The attaching system on the dual-port end was designed to be as durable as possible, though it also sports a detachable design, just in case you don't need the USB-A connector.

The parent company offers the cable with a lifetime warranty, as they claim the Super Cable is indestructible. It's made of DuPoint Kevlar fiber, one of the toughest Ballistic fiber materials worldwide. The cable is strong enough to pull a car without suffering any physical damage, and you should be able to safely use it to charge or run CarPlay afterward without fears of connection problems.

The Super Cable isn't only very tough but also very fast. It offers transfer speeds of up to 20 Gbps and 100W charging speeds, so it can be used with multiple devices, including smartphones and laptops.

The cable is available in two lengths – 1 meter (3.3 ft) and 2 meters (6.6 ft).

The Super Cable landed on Indiegogo earlier this month to seek crowdfunding support, and the campaign was a massive hit. It received over $34,500 from 783 backers, and if everything works according to the plan, it should start shipping to the first users in February next year.

Meanwhile, if you want to get your hands on the cable, you can support the campaign with a $18 donation on Indiegogo. A double pack (which includes two cords) can be yours for $35. The parent company also offers an Office Pack, which includes ten cables at just $160 (it means each cable costs just $16).
