If a circle surrounded by brackets containing an exclamation sign in the middle appears on your Toyota Corolla's dashboard after you start the engine, it means that you have a braking problem.
Usually, the warning light is generated by the low level of brake fluid in the reservoir, or the braking pads which are closing to their life ending. Of course, the latter issue will only be notified on the dashboard if your Corolla model is equipped with braking pad sensors.

The first issue is easily fixable. All you need is to pop the hood, open the brake fluid container's cap and pour in some new fluid according to your model's specifications. Then close the cap and start the engine to see if the warning light disappears.

If the warning light is still lit, then go on and read our tutorial on how to replace Toyota Corolla brake pads here.
