Supposing you have some mechanical skills and want to work safely on your third generation Toyota Prius in your garage, you’ll need to make sure that you won’t get electrocuted by the vehicle’s hybrid system.
To do so, you will need to disconnect the Prius’s battery from the rest of the system. Luckily, the vehicle comes with a safety plug that easily enables you to disable the power transfer between the battery and the electric motors.
The plug is located in the trunk and it is colored in bright orange. Make sure you use protective gloves to be safe. To remove it, just snap its safety off and pull it out. See the video bellow for a visual demonstration.
