If you happen to get the oil pressure warning light on your Toyota dashboard, one of the first things you have to check is the oil level. Next comes the oil pressure sensor itself.
The oil pressure sensor is located just above the oil filter. It’s a black cylindrical screwed part with an electrical connection sticking out of the engine block.
To take it out, you’ll just need a 20mm wrench. Unplug the electrical connection and unscrew the sensor. Replace it with a new one and also check the oil filter.
If oil pressure warning still shows up, then you might have a problem with the oil pump.
