Even if you own a high end luxury sedan like a Lexus IS 250, the interior trim unmounting process is about the same as with any other vehicle.
A few snaps, some screws and wire connection removals and you are done. So, if you want to unmount the central console of your IS 250, here are the steps you should follow:
Push back the arm rest
Grab the edge of the cup holder and pull it up firmly
Disconnect the electrical connections from the seat heating controls
Unscrew the shift knob and remove it
Unbutton the little cap on the shift lever to release the leather sleeve
Grab the shifter surroundings from underneath and pull it towards you, while lifting it at the same time. It will come off and you can remove it from around the stick
Take a Phillips screwdriver and remove the two screws holding the ashtray assembly. Don’t forget to remove its wire connectors
Do whatever you need to do and put everything back in reverse order.
