Whenever a car such as the Porsche 918 Spyder is launched, the psychological shock caused by its monstrous spec comes with an interesting side effect. People somehow tend to overlook the monstrous efforts engineers put into such extreme vehicles. Well, we are here to correct that. To explain to you just how much work goes into the 918 Spyder, we have a set of photos showing that Porsche is still out there testing the 918 Spyder.
The adjacent images show a six-pack of Porsch 918 Spyders being tested in Italy. Porsche has shown the car on multiple occasions, with the most recent one being the Geneva Motor Show. Despite this, it looks like the company is still setting up the final details.

With hybrids, the modulation of the power is always extremely difficult to achieve, so it makes full sense for the German engineers to work in order to fine tune the company’s halo car to perfection. Besides, with the extra weight of the hybrid system, it’s very important to offer the right feel to the vehicle.

In spite of this, we must not forget that there is a deadline here - Porsche was supposed to start customer deliveries last September.
