When an automaker decides to pull off a “how many people can you fit into a car”, it usually goes for... ahem... compact persons. However, Chevrolet wanted to show that its Aveo/ Sonic can handle a challenge much more difficult than that.
Chevy wants to see how many rugby players can fit into the Aveo, but the automaker didn’t want to do all the work itself. Thus, it has launched a competition that asks British rugby teams to do this, with the winning team set to received a full line of new equipment.
Let’s hear it in Chevrolet’s words: “To set the ball rolling, Cambridge-based Shelford Rugby club were the first team to tackle the Aveo challenge. Using their ruck and scrum tactics, 11 of the first 15 managed to squeeze into the Aveo, supplied by Cambridge Chevrolet, and close all the doors – in order to be eligible, all doors and tailgate must be shut, and all body parts be inside the car.”
