How Do You Fancy a Neat BMW Z8 Revival, a McLaren Sedan, or a Bugatti EV in Amber?

Unless you have been living under a Mars rock for the past couple of years – and that’s not possible because you’re not Matt Damon, aka The Martian – you already know the automotive fan world has divided into two opposite sides when it comes to BMW’s recent styling.
Mirroring the previous controversial era of Chris Bangle, Domagoj Dukec – the current BMW Head of Design since 2019 – has taken the risky gamble of reinventing what Bavarian cars and SUVs look like. And it’s a hit-and-miss situation with many model styles starting unending polemics between those who fancy a reinvention now and then versus those who don't need it if it does not serve any purpose other than angering or frightening everyone when the car appears.

Anyway, some people do not like the current design ethos to the point of taking the situation into their hands. Or rather at the tip of the CGI brush when dealing with the imaginative realm of digital car content creators – as is the case here with Giorgi Tedoradze, the Georgia-based industrial designer better known as tedoradze.giorgi on social media, who continues to promote his alternative CGI BMW styling.

After he dreamt of an entire SAV series – from X1 to the hulking X7 and even a non-existent X9 – he started slowly working his way up the passenger car ladder with reinvented styles for the BMW 1 Series, the recently-introduced 5 Series, as well as the flagship 7 Series limousine – which, by the way, looks miles better than the real deal (if you allow our two cents on the matter to interfere into the conversation).

Now, though, he is taking a swing at sports cars, too. And the first suspect is, of course, the beloved Z8. This is not the first time this pixel master attempted to resurrect the big two-door roadster, but now he is mixing it with a recent series of models that were all presented in a stylish amber-like colorway. Just in case you are curious about them, the latter includes stuff like an imagined all-new Tesla Model S, a dreamy McLaren 820S four-door high-performance sedan, the upcoming Alfa Romeo ‘6C’ sports car, and even a fully electric 2027 Bugatti Luminary!

No worries, we have embedded all of them in the gallery above because they were too interesting not to take a quick CGI peek at the digital goodies. Back to the hypothetical BMW Z8 reinvention, it’s not hard to imagine a proper powertrain for the resurrection – the M8’s 4.4-liter twin-turbo S63 mill immediately springs to mind.

However, we also have another bonkers idea – why not make it a plug-in hybrid just like the flagship XM super-CUV? That way, it could still combine a V8 (the S68) with the feeling of open air and also add electrification assistance to the full song of 738 horsepower. That would be cool, right?
