Honda is said to brings their all-new 400cc-class machines to the upcoming Tokyo and Osaka shows, along with their already showcased bikes, such as the CTX700, and quarter-liter ones.
As we were reporting earlier, Honda was working on a scaled-down engine for their new 400cc bikes, most likely a derivation of the new 500cc we saw in the 2012 CBR500R, CB500 and 500X motorcycles. The 400cc bikes will most likely be the smaller trio of the half-liter series, addressing both emerging markets and beginners all over the world.
Alongside the new 400cc bikes, Honda is rumored to surface some more small-displacement bikes, too. One of the models is Grom, a “recreational model with a 125cc engine that conjures up extreme riding,” as Honda describes it. Other models include the Cross Cub ,“new style Super Cub with playful spirit and sporty image”, and CBR125R, the “fully cowled 125cc road sport model”.
With the Osaka show to be held between March 15 and 17 and the Tokyo one open March 22-24, we'll surely have updates soon. Source CMG.
