With less than one month left until the start of the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show, car manufacturers, especially Japanese ones, began announcing their line-ups for the event. After yesterday Mazda gave us a preview of what we will see there, today's is Honda's turn to do the same.
According to Honda, the biggest floor area of any single brand will be theirs. The theme of the manufacturers exhibit, called "Creating the never before!", will comprise of both production models and concepts.
As with all manufacturers, the accent will be placed on the environmentally friendly technologies and vehicles. That means hybrids and at the center of the line-up will be the "veteran" Insight. Joining it, the 2009 CR-Z Concept and a new, multi-purpose hybrid, dubbed SKYDECK.
Before their introduction in Japan in October, the STEP WGN and STEP WGN SPADA will also have their share of the blitzes. The Civic Type R Euro, set to enter the Japanese market in November, will also meet its future customers.
The vehicles we mentioned above are nothing compared with what Honda has prepared for the so called HELLO zone (Honda Electric mobility Loop). Under that name Honda has hidden an entire array of electric vehicles and related technologies, for both automobiles and motorcycles.
HELLO will house the FCX Clarity, the EV-N, the EV-Cub electric motorcycle, the EV-MONPAL, the U3-X and the famous ASIMO.
In all, the show will witness 3 Honda world premieres, a Japanese premier, 6 concept vehicles and just about its entire line-up of production vehicles.
