Honda Launches Four 2011 ATV Models

The North American division of Honda Motor today released new ATV models for 2011, namely the FourTrax Recon, FourTrax Foreman 4x4, FourTrax Foreman Rubicon and FourTrax Rincon. All these machines will be produced at the Honda South Carolina (HSC) plant.

"We've asserted our leadership role by introducing 11 brand-new models for 2010, all of which have been received with great enthusiasm. Now we're moving forward with the introduction of early-release 2011 models, beginning with these four popular ATVs,” Powersports Press Manager Bill Savino, said in a release.

The 2011 Recon and Recon ES with Electric Shift Program (ESP) transmission are both fitted with a 229cc OHV engine, electric starting and will be available in Red and Olive colors.

Both the 2011 Foreman 4x4 and its ES version will come equipped with a 475cc OHV engine along with manual-shift transmission along with Honda's Traxlok and torque-sensitive front differential. They will be available for purchasing in Red, Olive and Natural Gear Camouflage.

Furthermore, the FourTrax Foreman Rubicon comes in a version with EPS and GPScape navigation, as well as a continuously variable Hondamatic transmission, Traxlok 2WD/4WD system and torque-sensitive front differential. Just like the Foreman 4x4, it will be offered in Red, Olive and Natural Gear Camouflage color schemes.

The last model launched today by Honda in the ATV lineup for the 2011 model year is the FourTrax Rincon. The power generated by a 675cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine is transmitted via Honda's automotive-style automatic ATV transmission, which is equipped with a hydraulic torque converter to drive three forward gears plus reverse. The Rincon will be available in Red, Olive and Natural Gear Camouflage.
