Honda Is COP15 Sponsor

The world is now looking at Denmark, as the COP15 Climate Conference in Copenhagen is extremely important for the future. And due to this attention, most manufacturers saw in this conference a great way to advertise.

Japanese automaker Honda announced that it has officially become one of the four sponsors of the COP15 Climate Conference. This was not an easy task, as the Danish Foreign Ministry imposed strict environmental requirements for the sponsors. Due to this sponsorship contract, Honda will supply Honda Insight hybrid cars for the climate summit, while the FCX Clarity model which is fuel cell powered will also be presented in the “Drive the Future showcase.” The Insights will be used to drive celebrities, VIPs and officials.

"In meeting our criteria, Honda has been selected as official sponsor of vehicles for the COP15 Climate Conference. Not only does the sponsorship enable us to lower emissions from the conference itself, but the vehicles also demonstrate technology, which already today can help us in our efforts to reduce CO2 emissions in the transportation sector," commented Svend Olling, Head of Department at the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"Honda is proud to have been accepted by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs as an official sponsor of the COP15 Climate Conference. The vehicles on display will demonstrate Honda's commitment to manufacturing products with the highest possible environmental performance, using production systems with the smallest environmental impact,"
said Yushi Fukuda, President of Nordic Honda A.B.
