Hofele-Design Presents Touareg Silk Way Rally Kit

With September 13 being the last day of the Off-Road-Rally of the Dakar-Series' „Silk Way Rally“, international Audi / Volkswagen tuner Hofele Design has released a new body kit for the Volkswagen Touareg, in order to turn it into a special „Silk Way Rally“ edition.

The international rally goes through Russia, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan and represents a race full of extreme and difficult challenges and an international top line-up in Rally Dakar style.

The special edition tuning kit from Hofele Design somehow celebrates the impressive results of the VW-Motorsport team with their Race Touareg II, that in fact dominated the “Silk Way Rally”.

According to a release from the tuning company, the special edition body kit aims at the markets in Russia and Asia and hope to meet their special requirements for Off-Road conditions.

The special edition differs from the basic Touareg with new designed front and rear bumpers, a front ram and side steps, made of polished stainless steel. Integrated into the new front bumper are additional LED daytime running lights, cornering lights and an impressive front grill.

In addition, big trapezoidal tailpipes made of stainless steel are integrated into the rear apron. The special edition rolls on Hofele Design wheels „Reverso“, sized 9x20“ or 10x22“. Furthermore, an electronically lowering module controls the air suspension and can raise or lower the car up to 80 mm.

Also available is an engine optimization, which lowers the consumption of gasoline or diesel fuel and offers an increase like power. For example, the 4.2l V8 engine is now boosted to 380 HP.
