It’s hard to call car designer Michael Vetter’s work as belonging to the aftermarket industry. But as we mentioned almost five years ago when we first heard of these contraptions, they look extraterrestrial yet pack rather earthly technologies. It doesn’t mean that each of this hand-made “roadships” doesn't take at least six months to make and cost tens of thousands of dollars.
Florida-based custom car designer Michael Vetter is the owner of The Car Factory garage located in Micco. Here, he welcomes space exploration fans to share their thoughts of how the car of the future should look like. In terms of earthly words, he takes donor cars from paying customers and applies the wackiest modifications to create what he calls ETVs.

These machines have nothing to do with television nor are they related in any way with Electric Vehicles. According to Barcroft, Vetter has been designing 68 custom vehicles per year for the last 15 years. Needless to say, we’re talking about a successful petrolhead whose models are quite attractive.

It may resemble Bugatti-worthy designs, but you’ll want to know the first of its kind was, in fact, a Chevrolet Aveo. Porsche, Renault and Toyota cars have since followed, and there’s probably nothing the auto brainiac will refuse. Naturally, this sort of mad tuning will come at a hefty price, some would call from another planet type of costs. We’re talking about a range that starts at $75,000 and could go as high as $250,000.

Who ever thought the aftermarket industry is not an industry should reconsider it.
