Just a few hours after Elon Musk announced the rollout of the new Tesla software update, the carmaker officially spilled the beans on all the new stuff it brings. Launched as the company’s “biggest software update ever,” 10.0 is, in one word, breathtaking.
Before we get into it, you should know the update is now downloadable to all U.S.-based Tesla cars equipped with the full self-driving feature. The update is available for all the three cars the carmaker currently has on the market.

The biggest novelty the update brings is the Tesla Theater, a suite that allows the car to stream movies, videos and music. The Theater comprises Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, and Hulu + Live TV. When the update becomes available in China, it will offer iQiyi and Tencent Video access.

A feature Europeans have had for a while and the Americans were anticipating is Spotify. The new service is now available in the U.S. and will complement the existing Slacker Radio and TuneIn. In China, Tesla will also roll out the Ximalaya service for podcasts and audiobooks.

The Tesla Arcade suite adds Cuphead, a run-and-gun action game that can be played with the help of a USB controller. For the Tesla Edition, as it’s called, Cuphead will be available to play in single-player and co-op modes.

Another fun feature to have around in the car is the Car-aoke, and it comes with “a massive library of music and song lyrics, with support for multiple languages.”

Also, browser access on all Model 3 Standard Range Plus and Standard Range vehicles has been included in the update.

Smart Summon comes as an evolution of the Summon capability. It will allow Teslas to drive on their own to the location of their owner, provided they are within line of sight. Unlike Summon, this new feature makes it possible for the Tesla to maneuver around and stop for objects as necessary.

For navigation, there are two new features, I’m Feeling Lucky and I’m Feeling Hungry. Also, maps have been improved so that now will be sorted based on distance to each destination.

When it comes to security and comfort, the videos recorded in Sentry Mode will be stored to a separate folder on the USB drive. Also, there’s a new Joe Mode which lowers the cabin volume for select alerts.

Tesla update 10,0 is supported by a mobile app update that now allows Tesla owners to open and close the garage door via HomeLink, defrost the vehicle’s cabin at the maximum temperature, and remotely control the Model 3 and Model X windows.
