Although it's been gone from GM's roster for a good while (almost 70 years), the Tri-Five members of the 1955, 1956, and 1957 Chevrolet family are certainly not forgotten.
Their cult following – primarily focused on the Chevy 150, 210, Bel Air, and Nomad models – is stronger than ever, actually. There are numerous fan clubs, online portals, and even entire aftermarket businesses dedicated to their enthusiasts and the cars themselves. As such, it is no wonder these Chevy model years remain some of the most popular for collectors and folks who love modifying them (hot rods, restomods, etc.).

Interestingly, they are bigger than life not only in the real world but also across the imaginative realm of digital car content creators. Of course, the parallel universes of vehicular CGI always love to play with the most famous of them all – for example, the Nomad sport wagon. The model was introduced mid-year in 1955, and very few were produced, making them exceedingly rare – and worthy of a halo model fame. As such, are we surprised that some folks would love to see it revived?

After all, Chevrolet could use another passenger car in its lineup that will soon consist only of the Chevrolet Malibu mid-size sedan and C8 Corvette sports car – the Camaro is almost ready to retire after the last units of the 2024 model year are produced in January 2024. As such, it would be entirely logical to see the passenger car lineup propped with a station wagon alongside the affordable sedan and the mighty C8 mid-engine superstar.

As such, the peeps over at the Q Cars channel on YouTube aim to daze and amaze the audience with a potential styling of their vision for the Chevy Nomad revival. Or are they trying to make the diehard Tri-Five enthusiasts run amok, crying their undying outrage? You'll have to decide which is which based on your POV. At the moment, we can tell you that if you don't like it, there is no cause for concern because this is merely wishful thinking, and nothing is official from Chevrolet.

Instead, the channel's resident pixel master simply imagined what it would be like to have a station wagon positioned between the $25k Malibu sedan and the $68k+ C8 Corvette. Oddly enough, they did choose an obvious reference point for the unofficial design. This reborn Chevrolet Nomad station wagon is clearly inspired by Volvo's big estate models like the V90, at least at the front where Thor's hammer lights were left unmodified.

At the rear, instead, it feels more like an Audi, but here, the visual references are much subtler, thankfully. In fact, if the CGI expert had bothered to give this Chevy Nomad revival a GM-styled front LED treatment, we would have easily called it enticing – mainly because the muscular profile gives out all sorts of muscle station wagon vibes. So, do you like it or not?
