As some of you know, the AMG Performance Studio is a place where you can pretty much specify unique AMG models, whether we are talking about a custom leather interior or never-before-seen exterior colors, the shop in Affalterbach has it all.
We actually covered one of their latest projects not so long ago, when a customer wanted a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series with a custom shade of yellow/green that received the name “AMG Afterglow”.
Today it's time for yet another SLS AMG Black Series in a special color from the AMG Performance Studio, one that was built for a customer in Brazil.
Called “Yosemite Blue”, the special shade looks pretty damn awesome on the Black Series, as it should, considering the fact that it apparently costs about as a well-specced E-Class.
Speaking of which, because of high taxes on luxury cars, the SLS Black Series allegedly costs more than $500,000 in Brazil, where the car will roam the streets and scare little children with its rumbling exhaust.
If you're wondering why this color wasn't simply vinyl-wrapped on the car, just take a look at the amount of preparation and detailing that needs to be done in order for a customer to get a Yosemite Blue color from the AMG Performance Studio workers.
