Until the 5.2-liter naturally-aspirated V8-powered Shelby GT350 comes around, the 2015 Mustang in its most powerful iteration is the GT model. Its 5-liter Coyote vee eight packs 435 horsepower and 400 lb-ft (542 Nm), but Hennessey can do so much better than that with the new HPE700 Supercharged Upgrade.
Seriously, take a long look at the three photos in the gallery below and try to think of a better visual tune for the 2015 Ford Mustang. It's the best one yet from our point of view and hikes the pony's appeal up to eleven. All black and with CarbonAero bodywork, front splitter, side sills, rear lip spoiler and diffuser, it eats V8 Camaros and Challengers for breakfast.

Well, maybe not the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and its amazing 6.2-liter supercharged eight-pot with 707 ponies on tap, but still, that's a wicked-looking pony. Hennessey Performance announces the order book is already open and only 500 examples will be built for the 2015 model year, so it's rare as well.

The Hennessey HPE700 Supercharged Upgrade for the 2015 Ford Mustang GT fastback also includes a set of H10 lightweight 20-inch rollers shod in sticky Michelin Pilot Super Sport 2 tires (like those on the Z07-equipped 2015 Corvette Z06), a Roots-style supercharger that bumps the original output to a beastly 717 horsepower and 632 lb-ft (856 Nm) at 4,400 rpm, high performance oily bits, a recalibrated ECU, serialized dash and engine plaques and so on.

Although the build price hasn't been specified, each car comes with a 3-year/36,000-year mile warranty and each car boasts with a 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) acceleration time of 3.6 clicks. As for the quarter mile run, that comes in 11.2 secs at 131 mph (210 km/h).
