A little over a week has passed since the guys from Heico Sportiv gave us a preview of what an S60 could do if they got a shot at it, and full details of another interpretation of Volvo's latest was released yesterday. To be built in a limited edition series of 100 units, the Volvo S60 T6 Design will bring with it more power than before, an aggressive styling and, not to forget, a menacing Sapphire Black metallic exterior.

The new Heico interpretation will be sold for a solid EUR63,968 ($81,840), but the upgrades it brings and the sense of uniqueness provided by the limited edition will be worth the spending. The car packs a revised six-cylinder turbo petrol engine which offers 26 hp more than it did before, meaning the model has a total output of 330 hp.

Paired with a six-speed automatic and four wheel drive, the model sprints the coveted 60 in 5.8 seconds and tops at an electronically controlled speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). The fuel consumption figure is not what one would call impressive, given today's standards (10.3l/100 km, 22 mpg) but, in the end, who cares?

Heico fitted the new Volvo S60 T6 Design with several touches on the outside, to help it stand out in the crowd. That includes two-part front spoiler, rear bumper diffuser, oval tailpipes arranged as four-pipe sports exhaust system and 19-inch Diamond-cut set wheels in matt black paint with Pirelli tires. The entire contraption rides a full 30 mm lower than the standard version does.

The S60 T6 comes equipped with all of Volvo's latest, as featured on the Summum trim, including automatic air conditioning, high-quality audio package, electric windows, cruise control , multifunction leather steering wheel, electric foldable mirrors, rain sensor, leather upholstery and dual-xenon headlights with dynamic cornering lights.

According to the information available the model will be released, together with the 2WD version, on September 18.
