One of the most interesting vehicles are the sleepers, car that pack a serious punch but come with an understated exterior. The Lamborghini Gallardo comes with an appearance that is the exact opposite of that, but when you leave the exterior stock and almost double the output of the engine, you could call the car a sleeper.

This example of the Gallardo, which entered our crosshairs via luxury4play, follows what has become a very well-knows power explosion pathway for the model. You see’ when this Raging Bull leaves the factory, it uses a V10 naturally aspirated engine. Over the years, the powerplant has become one of the favorite toys for aftermarket developers.

It seems like a lot of tuners get their kicks by slapping a twin-turbo system to the engine. The story is simple: the engine receives the forged induction kit, along with a long list of other goodies and this allows it to almost double its output.

In this case, the Gallardo was gifted with a Heffner twin-turbo kit that places a huge amount of horsepower at the mercy of the driver’s right foot. To be more precise, the engine now develops over 960 hp running on 93 octane gasoline or over 1,100 hp when using 100 octane juice.

The power is sent to the road using the stock rims, but these now use Toyo R888 tires that offer an ultra-high level of grip, allowing the person behind the wheel to unleash the army of beasts hidden inside the cylinders.

The vehicle has also received a carbon fiber treatment, with the material being used for the custom engine compartment panels and rear diffuser.
