A true family man will always be looking for the best offers out there to maximize both his income and the level of satisfaction his family can get out of his purchases. Such a man will also know that the 5 Series GT is the perfect car for him and his loved ones.

Sure, it’s not easy to live with that design and the bulky rear end but if you can get passed those, you’re in for a royal treat. The people in the back get more room than inside a 7 Series, the boot is huge and easily accessible and the level of comfort beyond comprehension.

However, if you really want to, you can also drive the 5er in a sporty way. Of course, it won’t be as if you drive an M5 but it will do, especially compared to other cars that have even sportier claims to their name.

In the US the entry level Gran Turismo is the 535i and it starts at $60,200. For that kind of money you get a 3-liter inline 6-cylinder turbocharged engine making 306 HP and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque hooked up to an automatic 8-speed gearbox.

Due to the big size and weight of the thing, you’ll be doing 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in 6.3 seconds which is not bad at all but it could be better. A lot better.

The guys from Hartge are known all around the world for their plug-in kits that raise the power output to unbelievable levels in just a couple of seconds. Naturally, they also came up with a kit for this model too.

Their device will take the output up to 362 HP and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) of torque and drastically improve both the pedal response, performance and economy of your vehicle. The best thing of all is that you’ll only have to pay €2,000 ($2,782) for it and the guys will ship it to your location, worldwide. To prove just how good their product is, they even put together a short clip. Check it out!
